The shape of Hunterdon County and the location of Readington within wasn't recognizable enough, so in the end we used the outline of New Jersey with the general area starred.

Brainstorming

This was a method I used to brainstorm ideas and get guidance on each step of where the team wanted to go. They liked the look of number 5, and after some more iterations the the final result is below.
